Hello Manie and the LB Team,

I trust you are doing well. I was involved last year leading an outreach to Samara (Russia) and shared the Word of Christ by using the Living Ball.
This year I visited India and would like to share with you the following
news:

I was recently fortunate to join a group of South Africans on an outreach to India. It was amazing to see and experience what God is doing in this wonderful nation. We visited some of the churches in the southern part of India and encouraged the pastors to continue to run the race and to fight the good fight as they face constant difficulty and persecution.

I took this opportunity to take a few Living Balls with to India and asked God to give me opportunities to share the Gospel.

1 & 2) Next to the Bangalore cricket stadium is an open field filled with enthusiastic guys all dreaming to become the next Sachin Tendulkar. I knew that it would be an excellent way of meeting friends. But how would they react to a soccer ball. I was at first invited to join in a cricket game...what an experience. Afterwards I started kicking the soccer ball around and was able to shared that God gave us a free gift in Jesus Christ.
All we have to do is to accept Him. I then gave to ball to one of the guys as a gift. May Jesus reveal Himself as the one and only true God.

3) I was able to share the Living Ball with some of the believers at a church in Bangalore. They were all excited to use this as a ministry tool and to reach out to their community.

5) Meeting Richard-John one morning as he was on his way to college. We spoke about sport and I found out that he was the sports captain at his College. I knew that this was an appointment from God. I shared that ....I gave him the ball as a gift praying that the Scriptures and Message on the ball will lead him to Christ.

6 & 7) Meeting two pastors at a conference gave me the opportunity to share with them how to use the Living Ball and how effective sport can be to reach out. One of the pastor's son has been using cricket to reach out and recently formed a soccer team. He was so glad to have received the ball and to give it to his son. May many come to faith.

May we continue to share the Good News and be His ambassadors.

LIVING BALL REACHES OUT TO THE EMMANUEL MISSION ORPHANAGE, CHAWLA VILLAGE, NAKAFGARH, NEW DELHI

At this Orphanage there are 96 orphans. Ivan visited them and blessed them each with a Living Ball wrist band and a cold drink. He also left 3 soccer balls, 3 netballs, 2 cricket sets and a few tennis balls for them to play with.

The children praised and worship God with a few of their gospel songs. They also came to thank Ivan individually. Ivan said that the “Thank you, Uncle…” meant a lot to him. Emmanuel Mission Orphanage accommodates semi-orphans and orphans of all ages in all the areas of India. The Head Office is in Kota, Rajasthan, India. Currently, they accommodates about 6000 children in 60 orphanages in India. Although poverty and illiteracy is an enormous problem in India, the economy still grows 10% per year. India’s population is about 1,20 billion. The average per capita income is R500-00 per month, but one also finds some of the riches people in the world, in India. Manie, Innis and their wives were invited to India by Ivan Venter who is also our contact in this country. Here is feedback from Jeanne, wife of Innis:

India – a land of poverty, pollution, bad smells, over population, but also a land of HOPE

God has a special love for these millions of people

As I walk through the streets of India, sadness fills my heart; there is emptiness in their eyes, fear of what to eat and how much Rupees will be in a days work – eyes without love!

I believe that God brought us to India to show the few people that crossed our path; the Love He has for them.

He was in control of every event and all according to His plan!

New Life Fellowship is the church group in India consisting of 94 477 members, their aim is to reach more people and to increase their numbers to 200 000 in 2010.

In Chandigrarh, we planned to meet only with Pastor Mahindra , but as we all know: our plans and Gods plans are not always the same. More than 40 people entered the church and we used the opportunity to share the Message. We had the wonderful privilege to see God at work and the Holy Spirit filled that place with a love that words cannot explain! What a holy experience!!!

It was time to do business: God blessed us with a wonderful place to stay: the Radisson Hotel in Jalandar. We were taken to the factory to do the business that we actually came for!

The owner showed us all his factories – he wanted Manie’s blessing over his businesses. We prayed for them in the new factory’s prayer room, which will be painted in the four colors of Living Ball.

We were invited to his house to meet his family and again God’s greatness came forward in this Hindu home. The power of prayer and the Holy Spirit is just amazing!! While Manie was sharing a Godly Message, Tamanna, his daughter was touched by the Holy Spirit and later that evening she gave her heart to Jesus!!

We prayed a prayer of healing for Yogesh’s eyes and also for a girl whith a blood cell deficiency!

“Maar as hierdie verskriklike dinge met hulle gaan gebeur – en dit gaan gebeur! – sal hulle weet dat daar ‘n profeet tussen hulle was.”

Ek glo wat daar gebeur het was God se beginpunt op ‘n proses wat deur ons gebede sterker en groter gaan raak, en dat hierdie invloedryke familie ‘n getuienis van God se liefde en genade sal raak!

In Mumbai was God se goedheid en beskerming weereens elke tree saam met ons. ‘n Blanke, Suid Afrikaanse vrou uit Bloemfontein loop ons 200m van ons hotel raak en waarsku ons teen malaria – ons kon betyds voorsorg tref en nie een van ons was ooit gepla deur muskiete nie!!

Die laaste diens wat ons bygewoon het was Sondag oggend voor ons vlug terug Suid-Afrika toe.

Die teenwoordigheid van die Heilige Gees in hierdie gebou was onbeskrylik groot – ons het gesing, en na Manie se boodskap, vir die jongmense ( wat 2/3 van die gemeente is) gebid!

Die passie wat hierdie mense vir God het is ongelooflik. Dit gee my hoop vir ‘n land waar gode openlik op straat aanbid word, waar mense glo in goeie dade en reinkarnasie, en waar liefde en respek vir vrouens afgebreek word!

Here ons Koning , seën hierdie land, Indië en die mense wat daar woon. Dat elke siel U liefde en genade en grootheid en krag sal ervaar.!! Ek prys U grote naam!!
