LIVING BALL IN HARTENBOS

The ATKV Holiday Resort in Hartenbos gave Living Ball the "go-ahead" to upgrade the Putt Putt (mini Golf) area with the Living Ball colors.

According to previous statistics, round about 60,000 holiday makers visit Hartenbos during December holidays.  Due to the sponsorship of one of Living Balls' friends, the Putt Putt area was painted and decorated with the colors and the Message.  At every hole, a color and the meaning of the color were done with Perspex boards and paint.  The feedback from holiday makers was positive, and most of the school children already knew the Living Ball Message and explained it to their parents. A Living Ball stall was also available where a lot of holiday makers bought sport balls and came to visit us.

Our sincere thanks to Morne Beukes and Roelf de Koker from ATKV, Hartenbos and our friends, Willie and Riana van den Berg and their beautiful daughters, Marike and Milindi, (we love you..) and Slabbert and Esme Maartens for their support during this outreach.

Also thanks to the photographer, Pieter Visser ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) who took the photo of he Putt Putt course from the air.

Eagles Rugby Union in George
geor_020 On the 8th of June 2009, a function was held in George where most of the Rugby Clubs of the Eagles Rugby Union were present.  Manie du Toit shared his testimony and the vision of Living Ball with them.  Each Club present was blessed with ten Living Ball/Eagle rugby balls.  What an awesome night where a lot of rugby administrators were together in the Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to spread the Message and to bring glory to Him! geor_030

Louis Koen, our Living Ball representative in the Western Cape, had a very busy time lately.  He was part of the following outreaches:  He visited a Christian School’s Sports day at Grabouw.  Living Ball sponsored all the balls used for the soccer, rugby and netball matches.  Philidelphia Primary School was visited and the Message was shared with all the Gr 6 and 7 pupils.  They were also blessed with Living Balls. At the DR Congregation Brackenfell West, Louis had the opportunity to share his testimony using the Living Ball as a tool.  Noord-Eind Primary School in the Paarl and Strand High School were also visited where Louis shared his testimony.  A Youth Rally at the Bergkroon Camp Site was attended where he spoke about sport as an instrument in God’s Kingdom.  Louis will also be fortunate to share at most of the Craven Weeks for rugby, taking place in July where every player will receive a Living Ball armband.  A special thanks to Radio Tygerberg, Oom Sias Meyer, Johan van Zyl, Pieter Goosen and Johan Stiglingh from Avis Van Rental for their support and sponsorships.

The friendly rev Barend Smit from the DR Church Children from Bredasdorp Primary School (Friday,6 Feb) Franna and the Head master from High School Bredasdorp (Friday 6 Feb) Franco explaining the Message at De Heide primary School, Bredasdorp (Friday 6 Feb)

The Living Ball Team from Pretoria, Franna, Charmaigne, Gavin and Franco visited the friendly town of Napier in the Western Cape.
This was a wonderful experience, and instead of blessing the people there, they blessed us!  Their hospitality and friendliness were beyond description, and their sheep chops are the best in the world!

On Friday the 6th we visited four schools in Bredasdorp which included Laerskool Bredasdorp, De Heide Laerskool, Albert Myburgh High School and High School Bredasdorp.

On Saturday we played Kids Games with 200 (199 to be exact) primary school children at Protea Primary in Napier.  Here we met a young gang leader and his friends.  Franna shared the Good News with them, and here he is learning to share it with his friends!

On Sunday Franna brought the message of the Good News at Rev Johan Swanepoel’s VGK Church in Napier.  The children sang “My God is so good, so strong and so mighty…” and they all stole our hearts again.  The praise and worship in that church was something to experience!  Manie gave his testimony in Rev Barend Smit’s DR Church in Napier the same time.
